Mick Jagger, the iconic frontman of The Rolling Stones, has opened up about the psychological challenges that come with a life in rock and roll. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Jagger candidly stated that being part of a superstar band is anything but normal.

At 82, Jagger acknowledged that the adoration from fans can lead to a disconnection from reality. He explained, “You can become disassociated from other people,” emphasizing how many in show business often only relate to others in the industry.

Despite his fame, Jagger strives to maintain a sense of normalcy by engaging in everyday activities, like walking the streets alone. However, he admits that the psychological impact is lasting, particularly during the tumultuous late 20s and early 30s, a period he describes as an intense ego trip.

His reflections come shortly after the release of The Rolling Stones’ latest album, Foreign Tongues, which debuted on July 10. Jagger’s insights serve as a reminder of the complexities behind the glamorous facade of rock stardom.
