For nearly a decade, metal institution Slipknot has been taking its day-long Knotfest extravaganza to countries around the world. Now that live music is coming back, Slipknot have big plans for the whole Knotfest thing. They’ve already announced a Knotfest cruise in August with bands like Anthrax, Behemoth, Ho99o9, and Higher Power. There are plans for festivals in the UK and Japan. And now the band has announced plans for a big return to their Iowa homestate with another Knotfest in September.

The Kings Of Quarantine is a video project put together by Jason Rockman and Kevin Jardine of Slaves On Dope as well as Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher, and today they had a bunch of guests on to cover Public Enemy’s “She Watch Channel Zero.” This includes Billy Gould & Mike Bordin of Faith No More, Mix Master Mike of Beastie Boys fame, SA of 311, MC Serch of 3rd Bass, Derrick Green of Sepultura, Sen Dog of Cypress Hill, Toby Morse of H2O, and Ron English of Popaganda.

Faith No More’s Mike Patton sang the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song for a new video game called Shredder’s Revenge, a side-scroller in the same vein as arcade staples like 1989’s TMNT and its follow-up Turtles In Time. Patton’s version of the theme can be heard in the just-released trailer for the game, which doesn’t have a release date yet but looks fun.
